Donald
Mouton LMT, RYT

I
was first introduced to yoga in 1978 shortly after moving to NYC from
Louisiana to pursue a career in dance. In 1980 I become a founding
member of the Mark
Morris Dance Group and continued to dance with MMDG until 1998.
Other highlights of my dance career were working with Susan
Marshall and Mikhail
Baryshnikov’s White Oak Dance Project. I have mainly studied
Vinyasa style yoga, which speaks to the dancer in me. In 2006 I completed
my 200 hour yoga teacher training at Satya Yoga Studio to become a
Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. In 1995, I became a NYS
Licensed Massage Therapist. In my bodywork practice I utilize a number
of modalities with a strong focus on Craniosacral Therapy. I am a
teaching assistant for the Upledger
Institute and lead study groups in CST in NYC and Albany. I feel
honored to be a part of the Sadhana community and glad to share whatever
I can. Donald Mouton teaches the Basics
and Intro to Yoga on Saturday mornings.
